The Ronnie Randall Memorial Golf Tournament

For those of you who do not know, there is an annual golf tournament in Dothan in memory of my Daddy. It is always in May, and this year, it just happened to be on our anniversary, May 22. For the second year in a row, Brad was able to play in the tournament, which has gotten huge! There were well over 200 players this year. Each year, the tournament raises money for a charity. It has raised money for medical research, as well as for a playground specially equipped to be accessible by handicapped children. I admit that I do not have a ton of experience with golf tournaments, but Brad says it is by far one of the nicest ones in which he has ever played. What an honor for Daddy, and for us as his family! It says a lot about the kind of man and physician he was; he was very well loved and respected throughout the community. We stayed with the Wilsons and were able to enjoy seeing lots of good Dothan friends!

Last year, Houston Academy's graduation was the same weekend, so we were able to attend both. This year, however, we were not able to be in Dothan for graduation, during which a scholarship is given out to the graduating athlete who most represents the characteristics of sportsmanship for which Daddy stood. I hate we missed it but am so grateful we were at the golf tournament. Several pictures are below.

Here is a very small fraction of the people who participated:

Sponsored by Southern Bone & Joint Specialists, my Dad's orthopedic group.

Dede and the girls on the day of the tournament.
I love the pictures below! They are of Alli and Emarie, Stephanie's little girl, who will be 2 in August. How precious to see my little girl playing with my lifelong best friend's little girl! The last one is one of them in the tub together. Mom and Annette have a similar one of Steph and me ~ wish I had it to post!! :)

What a very special event!
