Thankful Thirds

So, a friend of mine does "Thankful Thursdays," which I always love to read. However, I am not even going to begin to attempt trying to blog every week; instead, I will try to blog on the third of the month about some of the things for which I am grateful. I guess we will see how long this lasts.

Today, I am feeling especially thankful for...

1. Double buggies at Kroger ~ not so that I can fit more groceries into the buggy, but so that I can fit both of my girls in the child seat!
2. A husband who has never once told me "that's not my job" and who is so very hands-on with our girls.
3. My new Toaster Oven that I got for Christmas. (Thanks, Mom!)
4. Our country & our freedom. With the inauguration in just a couple of weeks, it is very much on my mind. I cannot say I am thankful for our choice of a new President, but I am thankful for the freedoms we have in this wonderful country of ours, such as the freedom to vote and choose our leaders.
5. My girls, and the way they do or say just the right thing, exactly when I need them to do so ~ and usually, they make me laugh! :)
6. Family members and friends who make things "easy," rather than complicated or difficult ~ you know who you are.
7. My wooden high chair, which is so much easier to clean than my other one!
8. The fact that the Junior League Attic Sale is coming up, and I can get rid of a bunch of junk... uh, treasures, I mean I will get rid of a bunch of my treasures. :)
9. That we are off to a very safe, healthy, and happy new year! We are excited to welcome 2009!!
10. Febreeze. We have 2 dogs and 2 children, do I really need to explain this one?
11. Oxyclean Stain Remover. Couldn't live without it.
12. The Shack ~ a book given to me and to Brad by Mom, and it is absolutely changing my life! Take a look: www.theshackbook.com I highly suggest everyone read this wonderful book! As Mom says, even if you don't agree with everything in it, there is a lot of goodness in it, and for me, some personal truths....
